Weekly Fishing Report 26 July 2012

Fishing Report
Last week of July, temp high of 42 degrees and low of 27 degrees. Water temp at 3 ft '26 degrees'.
The Bailiff fished on peg number 3 for 5 hours on Saturday and landed 8 carp starting at 3 lbs and topping out at a 9.8 lbs mirror carp, on single sweet corn.

All in all a good week with 38 fish caught and a similar number lost or broken off!

Tickler of the week
Junior angler Matthew got the fright of his life on Wednesday evening, when rod and reel got away from him at lightning speed and took off across the lake appearing and disappearing, the full length of the day ticket water.
All ended well when the Bailiff and his assistant 'Ali G', (fishery Cocker Spanial!!)  were dispatched...to retrieve lost tackle.  A 12.5 lb common carp was landed by bailiff and released in good order.  Much to the delight of Matthew and his family, all tackle returned, if a little damp!
Regulars
'Ian the eel' and Avril have become regular fishery visitors and seen to be mastering the day ticket lake, with good results, weekly!! Avril caught her first fish yesterday, a nice Mirror Carp.
More News!!
The rest of the week has also been eventful.  The Clubhouse continues to get better every week and toilet/washing facilities are now fully functional.
There is a snack menu and drinks bar, as well as bait and end line tackle available.  Also full fishing setups are available for hire.
The bass lake and specimen waters continue to be improved for use in the near future!
